Game night, and a story to go with it.

Ibile Hub started with a simple complaint: the games people actually play at home were scattered across a dozen ad-stuffed apps, or missing entirely. So we put 38 of them in one place and built them properly. Then we added Stories, comics made for the phone, because the best nights have something to talk about afterwards.

Why a cowrie.

Across West Africa the cowrie shell was money, and it was also the counter you played with. Our seal puts one at the centre, ringed by the four colours of the table.

In the app, cowries are what you earn by playing and reading: from your daily reward, from missions and from wins. You spend them in the store, on back-catalogue chapters and on tournament entry, or gift them to friends. They were never cash, and in Ibile Hub they still aren't.

What we won't compromise on.

Real rules

Ayò, Bao, Morabaraba and Fanorona are played with their actual rules, and the computer opponents play them properly at every level.

Built for the phone in your hand

An entry-level Android on patchy data is the phone we design for. Practice games work offline, and a dropped connection doesn't end an online game.

One table

One account, one set of friends and one wallet, whichever game or story you open, on your phone or at ibile.games.

Fair play

No power-ups in ranked matches, prices stated plainly, and nothing that pays out cash. What you pay for is fixed and shown first, and only free rewards are left to chance. Limits and breaks are built into the app, and they cover Stories too.

Stories worth reading

Comics built for the phone: light on data, free to start, and yours to keep once you unlock them. Read on the app, carry on at ibile.games, pick up exactly where you stopped.

Creators paid properly

Writers and artists are paid under contract, in naira, never out of your wallet balance.

Nigeria first, then further.

We open in Nigeria, where our players already are, then move across West and East Africa, and to everyone abroad who misses a proper game of Whot.

Get a seat at the table.

Ibile Hub opens in Nigeria first, on Android, iOS and the web. Leave your email and we’ll tell you the day it does.
